As per the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), the anticipated power requirement for the year 2012-13 was 99734 Million Units(MUs) or Million kWh, whereas the availability was anticipated at 76979 MUs, which translates to an annual deficit of about 22.8%. The anticipated month wise breakup as estimated by CEA is given below.
