Punjab Solar : RfP for allocation of 250 MW released

Punjab Energy Development Agency(PEDA) is inviting proposals for allocation of solar PV projects under the Phase II of its Renewable Energy Policy. In the Phase I of the solar projects allocation, RfP was released for 300 MW in March 2013(details here) , and the winners were announced in June 2013(details here). Many of the projects under the Phase I have been commissioned, and most of the other projects are expected to be commissioned by mid-2015.
Some of the highlights of the competitive tariff bidding process are as follows.
1. A pre-bid meeting : 9th January 2015; Last date for submission of the bids : 28th January 2015.
2. Benchmark Tariff  – Without Accelerated Depreciation(AD) : 7.72 Rs. / kWh ; With Acelerated Depreciation(AD) : 6.95 Rs. / kWh
3.  There are 3 category of projects, and a bidder can be allocated a maximum of 3 projects(one for each category) totaling 78 MW. The details are as follows
