MNRE releases Solar PV plant performance data for September 2013

After a bit of a gap (and missing the month of August), the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy(MNRE) has released the solar PV performance data for September 2013. The performance details, as always include the energy yield as well as the CUF of the power plants commissioned under the JNNSM Phase 1 (batch 1 and 2) as well as the plants that were commissioned under the RPSSGP scheme. In addition to this, MNRE has now released the details of the plants commissionned under the migration scheme. The details of operations of these power plants have been provided below. Some plants in the list have reported CUFs of over 30% which at first glance seems quite high.
JNNSM Phase 1 Batch 2

JNNSM Phase 1 Batch 1

JNNSM Phase 1 Migration

The performance data can be downloaded from the MNRE website – JNNSM Phase 1 Batch 1, Batch 2, RPSSGP and Migration Projects
The details for the previous months can be accessed here and here.

  1. It is always better to include the type of panels, EPC company details, Panels and Inverter manufacturer, Installation i.e Commissioning date to know the deration of the panels etc.
If MNRE does not do this job, from RE Solve, you can provide this detail for many other project developers to know the advantages or disadvantage i.e leave it to the people of INDIA to know and draw the conclusion…. well, if a separate O and M Agency is hired (other than project developers), its name should also be declared. This will give more transparent or data bank on who are the best and to create good INDIAN assets in Future.
This will also give an indication on the good project developers and their equipment buying and maintainability aspects too for the Lenders to take a call.
